Question Booking RTW from UK - Is what I have thusfar valid?

I'm planning a LONE4 starting from LHR (still in college, can't afford higher... ...one day)

As I live in Chicago, how would I go about booking this? Would I have to book through BA? Is it possible to book through AA in London? Would it be possible to complete the transaction from the US or will I have to do it in London?

Any contact numbers for the respective RTW desks, advice from others who have done what I'm planning would be appreciated

This morning I called BA's RTW desk, not realizing it was the RTW desk in North America (800-828-7797) They told me since I'm in North America & they're in North America they can't reserve at ex-LON prices (something I knew already...)

Still trying to find a number in London...

AA RTW can book the reservation, and then I can finish the ticketing in London...I think I answered my own questions...

Great. We don't see many Ex-LHR OWEs here, partly because they are more expensive than from elsewhere, and also because of the 1 only international departure/arrival rule. So, my question is: how are you getting around this rule? is it possible for you to share the itinerary with us?

It's a LONE4 going from EUR-SA-NA-Asia-EUR

This is what I have so far:
x=stopover
//=transit

LHR-x(GRU)-EZE-SCL-IPC-SCL-LIM-JFK//BOS-CUN-BOS

then I'm not sure for the rest of NA..

JFK-NRT-x(TPE)-HKG-PEK-HKG-x(BKK)-SIN-FRA//MAD-CAI//TLV-MAD-ATH-LHR

It's not particular good use of accumulating miles but it gets where I want to go.

Basically, 2nd term doesn't start until February 7th (thank you January Term ) so I want to start in London after Christmas and do the South America portion during January, then head up to NA, utilize the BOS-CUN-BOS legs for Spring Break in March (I figure you have to do the college CUN thing once...) then after graduation go to Asia and the Middle East.

So some questions:
1) Is what I have so far legal?
2) Any suggestions for NA?
3) Any suggestions for improving overall? (Better mileage accumation, Better places to go, etc..)

I'd like to go to IST too, but maybe I can plan that outside the RTW journey...
I'd start in CAI if i could find a cheap way of getting there to better utilize BA in Europe

1) It is legal, but only in certain times of the year. Direct oneWORLD Flight exist BOS-CUN and back only in particular easons.
2)You have used two of six NA segment, but, if I interpreted your syntax correctly, there appears to be 18 segments already, leaving you two more.
3)With very little tweaking and using your two spare segments, you could get 50,000 miles; so it's not a bad routing already.

So that was another thing I had forgotten:

These two flights weren't showing up on OneWorld but were on AA

AA2311 BOS-CUN 3/18/06
AA2312 CUN-BOS 3/25/06

(Spring Break Flights)
Looks like AA runs BOS-CUN nonstop on Saturdays
I seem to recall this from last year as well

Although it isn't showing up on OneWorld, will it still be possible to book since on AA? (I know the scheduler right now ends at 1/28)

Those flights are fine, and bookable right now. The schedule is actually better than once a week. Take a look at it with KVS, or ExpertFlyer, or aa.com

If you've got the time, go lhr-gru via lax and pick up a bunch of extra miles.
