Help with maxing the end of an AONE3

Please help me to finish off an AONE3 parked in the USA. I’m looking for Max BA Points (flights>2K miles) to assure my gold status on BA on the way to business in BOM.

I have 3 sectors left in the US, inc the trans-con.

I have 4 sectors to use ex HKG, but I must do BOM for work.

I’m happy to start anywhere in the US that will help me max my points, but would like to have ca. 4hrs between flights to provide cover with major weather problems. (Even though this didn’t help me in DFW a month ago)

I’m looking at something like this

JFK-LAX-SJU-LAX-HKG-BOM (Work/Rest) -HKG- (2K Miles Turnaround) -LHR

Has anyone done the turnaround at SJU? 2.5 hours should be enough as it should be the same aircraft?

I could also do LAX-SJU-LAX-JFK-HKG, which would max the miles, but might be too much. I’m trying to get the US flying done in as short a time as possible and rest up in India, before heading back to LHR.

Any ideas for the best turnaround over 2K miles ex HKG? I know I won't be able to do it in 1st, but would like as pain free as possible, I thought about Sapporo (CTS)? I could even overnight and explore a little.

I’m aiming to fly in October/November, and will be using miles to get to the US from the UK.

Any Help/Comments/Advice appreciated

Sorry, no can do. JFK-LAX-SJU-LAX is three transcons.

JFK-LAX-SJO-LAX is ok, however. Edited to correct. Nope, sorry, bad info. SJO is seasonal and not available on your dates.

Check out this thread. It contains a list of flights over 2000 miles not on the city pairs list. Remember to get the maximum BA Tier Points and Miles you need to find two class flights that offer First Class and Economy. Flights outside of the USA and Canada (e.g. SJU) only have "Business" and Economy.

You may also want to have a look at this thread. It details my crazy mileage run across the US and my side trips to CTS. Other >2000 flights out of HKG are DPS and JKT.

Thanks for the help so far!

I did pull the LAX-SJU flights from the transcons posted in this forum, though I may have been working from an earlier set of flights.

Gaza - what a crazy trip, but maybe no more crazy than mine may be. I may look at JFK-PUJ-LAX-JFK for the US trip, or maybe LAX-JFK-PUJ-LAX, with a shorter run to HKG. This would cost miles, but would preserve my sanity!

I'm open to suggestions for Asia. If anyone's turned around at DPS, I'd like to know. CTS seems to be weekends only, that may not fit with my itin.

CTS operates Sat, Sun, Wed, Thu during October and November. I'm sure I read on here that someone did a DPS turnaround. It was a bit fraught but they made it. If time allows a night stop in Bali with a boozy night in Kuta could be an interesting proposition.
