Who does your BA xONEx changes?
If you need to reissue/reroute a BA issued xONEx, what's the normal practice for getting it done? Assuming a ex-CAI or ex-IST, some options seem to be to contact:
- the issuing office (CAI, IST)
- the local BA office (i.e. wherever you happen to be at the time)
- an OW RTW desk (BA don't have one, do they?)
etc.
On my last xONEx I went back to BA/CAI, but I'm not sure if this was the best plan or not. Seemed to work OK mostly, but not 100%

In principle any OneWorld ticketing outlet will do it, but in practice if it is on BA stock and there is a BA outlet nearby where you are doing the rerouting then you may be redirected there. BA does have a RTW phone desk in North America +1 800 828-7797

Thanks. Actually, as I'm trying to stick to e-tickets, I don't actually need to visit anybody and it's easiest to do by email, or over the phone. Sounds like the BA RTW desk would be my best option - thanks for that number
I just called them, and for the benefit of others, they are open 0800-2000EST, but unfortunately do not have a regular (non-800) number which can be called from overseas.

I had one reissued just a week ago (before leaving). The travelagent was unsure about the change in Airport taxes / surharges / whatever. So I thought I quickly visist the BA counters at the airport in CPT. The ticket was issued on QF stock (QF does not have an office in CPT), Not only were they most helpful and friendly, they reissued from paper ticket to e-ticket within 5 minutes and did not even charge for the additional taxes which must have been due as three segments were added. They only charged me the obligatory fee of US$ 75.00 for a rerouting.

Quite often when I call "800" numbers from the UK on my mobile, I get "please redial using "+1 8xx" because the "call isn't free". From landlines in the UK you often get a recording first, saying that it's not free, and to hang up if you don't want to pay international call rates.
To avoid all this hassle (and have one number in my mobile which works regardless) I always ask for an alternative to the "800" number.
