speaking of checking in, does anyone have any information on the "Park Avenue" checkin area? It looks good from the AA website - is it hard to find? the website says something about a "private slip road" opposite T3. Is it well signposted? All sounds very intriguing!

Thanks again for your LHR advice

Park Lane is basically part of the ground level of the multi level car park at Terminal 3. Approach the terminal following the "Terminal 3 Departures" signs, and keep in the right hand lane. You should see a signpost taking you off to the right into "Park Avenue" just before you reach the main drop-off curb for the terminal.

QF Gold is Sapphire, not Emerald (which is QF Platinum and would have F lounge access).

oops

yes you're right christep. Sapphire not emerald. wishful thinking on my behalf. Silv/Gold/Plat is so much easier to remember

Thanks for the directions House, its good to know what to look out for.

thanks again, looking forward to my UK adventure.
