Lounge access on freebie tickets?

My wife and I are travelling to Fiji and onwards to Sydney Australia next month on Air Pacific. The tickets are freebies (either N or O booking class). As far as I know, we can't earn miles on those flights but I wonder if we can still get lounge access as I have Executive Platinum with AAdvantage (top level on OneWorld afaik).

So - can people with status flying on free economy class tickets still gain access to the business class lounge where available?

If you were travelling on a OneWorld airline you would have access to any OneWorld lounge available (including First Class) on the day of departure. But Air Pacific isn't a Oneworld airline, so the answer is no (unless you are travelling on a QF codeshare, in which case the answer is yes - QF First Class lounge). I'm not sure what you mean by a "freebie" (award ticket?) but regardless, how you get the ticket is irrelevant - if you are on a OW marketed flight then you have lounge access.

To my understanding it doesn't matter which OW lounge they can use, if there exits more than one on the airport(s) they are travelling through, or is this some special AA policy? With other OW Emerald/Sapphire cards this certainly isn't the case and you can use any OW lounge on the day of the departure while having a OW boarding pass. Maybe you already knew that there are only QF lounges on that particular route but just wanted to make sure others won't get the wrong picture.

Cheers

Thanks although

I knew there was some relationship between Air Pacific and OneWorld but I guess it's just some sort of partnership and hence we won't be getting into any lounges... we have quite a layover in Nadi in one direction so that would have really helped...
