Sorry, I got the code wrong.

From: Bucharest, Romania-Otopeni (OTP) — To: London, England-Heathrow (LHR)
Dep.1550 Arr 1715 1 BA 0887

Re going from HBA-Syd, yeah it isn't an expensive flight and we could go JQ but we've got no need for any other Oceania flights so we might as well get to Tas and back where we need to go.

I might see how I can go with Q before I change the itin, would be worth putting some pressure on them before I give up and change.

Yes, this is definately allowed. BUT it is counted as your Asia continent stopover and hence you cannot stop in Asia on the return to Australia (must be transit only).

I am going BNE-MEL-HKG-KUL-HKG-LAX at the start of my DONE4, and finishing LHR-MEL-SYD-BNE (transit in SIN), which is a valid routing.

I'm buying an extra Europe segment so that is fine.

Re getting extra miles/credits, I am sure this is always the case, but I suppose the idea of this trip is to go places I want to see rather than get more status credits!
