No chance for LX in OW

I might have missed chat about this over the last months, but it seems with LH's takeover of LX, that kills off any chance of LX joining OW.

Yes, it has. LX will be joining *A. This is being discussed in detail in the LH forum.
Another question is what this means for LX's existing bilateral deals with OW members.

Less than a half billion dollars for a national airline. Wow. Good riddance. I know I am a minority opinion but I still think that LX would have been a bad move in the alliance.

LX was not best, but it was often better for me than use lgw on the way to TXL.

As for bilateral agreements, the QF and SK deal still gives QF FF points on Asian SK flights and SK within Scandinavia. Interesting that QF codeshares on AY and LX metal SIN-BKK - often the flights being only minutes apart.
