It's getting harder and harder to get miles on L fares. It seems that right now, Cathay gives zilch, BA and IB give 25%, Qantas 50% and starting 2005 LAN will be giving no miles for L fares. Only Finnair and American are giving full credit for L class.
Is Star doing this as well?

It all depends on the program you are wanting to earn the points/miles with. You have quoted the AA earning rates for L fares on other OneWorld airlines. There is no consistency cureently between OneWorld airlines and the L class earning rates. But it does seem to be heading towards greater consistency - but I hope we don't get to the point of nothing for L fares on any airline
.
As an example of the variation, in the QF FF program, L fares earn discount economy Status Credits and 1 point/mile on QF, EI=0, AA=50%, BA=25%, CX=100%, AY=100%, IB=100%, LA=100%.
Note that due to the way we all like to maximise our mileage on xONEx fares (my included), the LONEx fare is probably the deepest discount fare on a per sector basis. So I understand why the airlines are wanting to restrict the points/miles earning on these fares. I might not like it, but I do understand it.

I stand corrected, I reread the message and the L restriction on LAN are only for flights inside Peru. It's getting hard to get around Asia though if you have to rely on Finnair and American even with the CX codeshares.
