It's worth noting that CAI is price are now tied to the US$, so prices may go up or down...

The interbank rates on the two dates were different. 6.1944 (Dec) and 6.2445 (Jul).

. The last time I got a ticket from BA was in June 2003, so maybe they had a period of billing in EGP more recently. On the three occasions since then I have used Emeco and they have always billed in EGP.

My last ticket ('04), BA CAI managed to charge me in GBP on my Amex - an arrangement I was very happy with. I'm still using my Amex this time as the 3K is valuable in getting to my 15K for the 2-4-1, not to mention the Airmiles. Though, this will load the ticket cost by about 3%
That's about 100 for 10K miles (1p/mile) and a leg up to the 2-4-1

Wow.. got my AONEX tickets just in time.. the EGP has strengthened considerably in the last month.. from 6.23:1USD to about 5.8:1USD. Maybe I should forget doing the RTW, have my tickets refunded and make $1k on the deal.
Both times I have booked RTWs (with BA in 03 and Emeco in December) were billed to my CC in USD.
