Status match for *A members?

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this...moderators feel free to move the post to an apporopriate place if necesarry...

Does any OneWorld airline give status match to customers from the Star Alliance? I have *Gold with Air Canada but have recently moved to an area that is not served by any Star carrier only by OneWorld (Iberia).
If people have any expereince with this and how to go about it getting statuch match I'd appreciate to hear from you.
Many thanks.

Unless huge bring a huge amount of revenue (then why would need a status match? ).

Only AA have shown any likelihood to match, although you may find that a Platinum Challenge is more beenficial based on flying patterns. A search under platinum challenge under the AA forum would be best.

Look for the "status match master thread" in the Milage Buzz forum, they have all sorts of info there...
