Oneworld miles redemption

Hi, I have a bucket load of miles to burn, something around 500,000 this time with mostly QF. I am trying to find out about the 1W award miles as opposed to the straight charts.

Any clues? Maybe the search engine God is not with me today. Basically I want to know if I can do an RTW or similar with this. Say 400,000 QF miles available. I know that SYD to LON return is about 275000 in First. I have several complex RTWs coming up and might just use some miles to save some money.

Routes include LAX to Australia, SCL to NZ/Australia, JNB to SYD, internal South America, internal Africa (uganda and Namibia with will be off NBO and JNB), London to EZE and BOG, London to Honduras, anywhere (HKG?) to Cebu and Subic Bay in Philippenes (sorry cannot spell at this time of day), BAH in middle east.

It would appear that I am not bothered by North America much, except as a route through for Central and South America. I would have done ANC but that has stopped for winter.

Somethings along the lines of Circle Indian Ocean, AONE4/5, AGLOB34 stuff.

Thanks.

QF rules for Oneworld awards are simple but unattractive compared to some other programs. Max total mileage 35,000 and maximum 5 stopovers (cannot buy extra stopovers), but the final rule really cripples this award -- max 5 transits, with each stopover using one of the allowed transits. By contrast AA OW awards have max mileage 50,000 and allow more stopovers/transits. This isn't the best use of QFF points, but you could do: SYD-LHR-LAX-JFK-SCL-SYD for example. Rules are at http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/...m/terms#10_4_5
