AONE3 itinerary ex-BKK

I’ve come with a tentative itinerary for an AONE3 and would appreciate any comments about validity or potential problems. The primary goal is to visit cities I enjoy or have wanted to visit; a secondary goal was to ensure AA elite status (platinum in calendar year of trip and year following; gold for the year following that). I would be using a UA/Star Alliance award ticket to get between Boston and Bangkok.

The proposed itinerary:

BKK-HKG (CX)
HKG-JFK-BOS (AA)
BOS-SJU (AA)
SJU-BOS (AA)
BOS-DFW-SEA (AA)
SEA-BOS (AA)
BOS-LHR-IST (AA-BA)
IST-LHR-CDG (BA)
CDG-LHR-SIN (BA or BA-QF)
SIN-HKG-BKK (CX)

I figure about 51,800 Q-miles and 83,600 AA miles, starting with no status and signing up for Plat challenge. (Could easily increase those numbers, but maximizing mileage isn’t primary goal.)

Does this look to be within the OWE rules?

If you wanted a few more miles I would probably buy the LHR-CDG return separately and go to DXB for the long haul first experience. Otherwise it looks okay and you are using all your segments in each continent.

I appreciate the feedback, jerry a. I didn't realize that IST wasn't on the 2-segments-only list from LHR and didn't consider DXB; thanks for the tip.

Yeah, the de facto standard runs for non-cairo originations in Europe has sort of become LHR-DXB-LHR-IST-LHR due to IST not being included in the restriction and the presence of long-haul first on the DXB route.
