Is this enough for AA platinum challenge?

Starting mid-July, for the first 3 months of my LONE4 xICN, I will only be able to do the following cities, since I am studying in RIO:

1st segment by land to FUK (1st stopover), then to BKK (2nd stopover), then NRT-DFW-RIO (1st stopover in S. America)...

1. Is this enough miles to complete Platinum challenge?
2. Is the above routing even possible?

Thank you!

Assuming the following routing:

FUK-HKG-BKK-HKG-NRT-DFW-RIO, you will travel 16,863 miles. However, only HKG-NRT-DFW-RIO can be done on AA flight numbers (others on CX), so that is 13,496 miles.

L class earns AA qpoints at a rate of 1 per mile flown, so that is 13,496 qpoints. That is more than the 10,000 qpoints requried for the plat challenge.

Just make sure you book the AA codeshare on the HKG-NRT segment.

DFW-GIG is a direct flight but goes via MIA. Does this mean two intercontinental arrival/departures or only one? In other words, is it possible to do the itinerary as shown, ...NRT-DFW-(MIA)-GIG..., and still be able to return to NA?

If I started my LONE4 xBKK (instead of ICN)... and my ultimate destination is RIO...

What is the best way to qualify for Platinum challenge AND to maximize AA miles? (especially that last flight with the double bonus credits... perhaps NRT-JFK??).

Note: I only want to use USA as a transit point so that I can backtrack after RIO... otherwise, any city in Asia is fair game...
