Do intercontinental flights count against continent segments?
I think - I hope - that I know the answer to this, but want to confirm...
When flying between continents, does the flight segment count against the maximum segments either in the continent I'm departing or the continent I'm entering? In other words, if I'm going HKG YVR does it count either as an Asian or a North American segment, or neither? I think I saw the answer as "neither" (although it does count against the 20 segment maximum.) Correct?

You are correct on all counts, the intercontinental flights don't count against the segment limits for each individual continent, but do count against the 20 segment total limit.

You were right...
Hi,
Sorry, rule change and I remembered an old rule. I have sent an appology on the earlier thread. Interestingly enough, I did check with a ticket desk and they said that they did. It pays to have a copy of the rules with you when you book. Do you need the rules in word format? If so, just ask and I will send it over.
