BA Transatlantic (Subtle point)

To verify (I have searched and can't find):

Flying BA, I can do BA LHR-YVR and get AA miles, but not LHR-LAX on BA. I am arranging itinerary change, and want to verify. Flying from CPH->MIA, but want to get long international leg (i.e., to west coast of North America).

Thanks, guys.

Yup. You can earn AA miles on any BA transatlantic flight to/from Canada, Mexico, South America and the Carribbean. Just not to/from the USA.

Off topic, but is the new forum set up so we now earn a few FF miles every time someone clicks on a posting with a tag like that? With the right incentive, I could find myself being proud of a whole bunch of commercial enterprises.

FWIW, LHR-YVR is 4723 miles but LHR-MEX yields a bit more at 5541 miles.
