Is this possible?
Is is possible, on a xONE4 that does *not* include NA, to do this (simplified):
MAD-SCL-LAXx-SYD-HKG-MAD
In other words, I'm trying to avoid the direct route SCL-AKL-SYD, but not sure if I'm allowed to transit LAX, given the fact NA would not be one of the continents.

You only get a 'transit without stopover' chance IF you are also visiting NA as one of your continents.
Otherwise, the rule is (as memorably pointed out to me some time ago):
