http://www.exmo.net/flyertalk/OWEFares.exe
the prices are dated jan 04
exmos excellent excel system has some, but i believe there is/has been a increase of around recently 6-8% on all countries.

Oneworld Explorer info last updated 2002/04/28?

I think the RTW fares may be more out of date: Global Explorer info last updated 2002/05/05.

Lone, Done, Aone??

I assume LONE = 3 continents, DONE = 4 and AONE = 5?

Just guessing since I don't really know for sure.

If so, then there's quite a big price jump from 3 continents to 4. I'm moving to Taiwan for a year and will purchase my ticket there.

LONE = $2111USD
DONE = $4282USD

Is that correct? Seems like a very high jump since the other document that was mentioned above, last update in 2002 was only just over $400USD difference from the 3 continent to the 4 continent.

Thanks for any help.
Dan

L = economy
D = Business
A = First

You will see something like LONE3. The number is the number of continents. So that would be an Economy class three continent trip. Or AONE5 would be first class five continents and so on.

Aren't the * terms a lot more restrictive, once you've had the relative freedom of an OWE? Granted it's a big price difference, but 29,000 miles (?) really doesn't go all that far. No pun intended.

Except that with SEN status and some short hop segments, intra No. America or intra Euro, especially via VIE for the current bonuses, you can generate well over 125,000 status and award miles in LH M&M and make it all the way around.

Sounds like a lot of FF miles, but our rtw interest always goes beyond "making it all the way around." Though that's certainly a requirement at the top of our list.

I haven't done the comparison for a long time, and may mis-remember, but isn't it true that for someone that wants to spend a little time on a trip that uses up 40,000 miles or more, that star is much more expensive than OWE?

even up to the 39K limit star is a bit cheaper at the moment..
but you can obv exceed 39k with ONE - my last was only 42K,
i am also SEN and with the Star Upgrade vouchers i am thinking the J class *RTW would be fine. but thats just me..
