Backtracking
I have never quite gotten a handle on the rules in OWE or GLOB for backtracking. I think I understand that it is not permitted in OWE unless you go through a particular place as a transit pax (no stay of xx hours?). If that was true, then you could come back to that place and make it a stopver. But in the case of GLOB fares (mileage based?) I don't know at all.
Can anyone please enlighten me in general terms for both OWE and GLOB?
I'm thinking of something like this:
BAH-DXB-HKG-LHR (transit)-LAX-LHR (stopover)-BAH....(with more to be added).
Or same kind of thing in the US.
Thanks very much!

With a few special-purpose exceptions, backtracking between "continents" isn't allowed on OWE so LHR-LAX-LHR is out. And you're also only allowed to cross each ocean once. Within a "continent" backtracking is allowed all you want, except you're not allowed to fly through the city where it all began.
DXB and LHR are, interestingly, in the same "continent" or zone.
