BTW, QF said the points/SCs worked out as follows:

12394/65 This is for SYD-HKG-YYZ only

27204/245 That's for all the flights from MAD onwards, including AKL-BNE-SYD

Not pretty for all the flying done in the USA.

This is it now:

Ask her to check that in the rules. My interpretation of this rule would imply you can use the codeshares:

Line 24N says that codeshares on OW carriers is permitted.

Not true. You only have to keep travelling in the one direction between continents, not within continents. Here is the rule:

The only restrictions on the continent of origin is that you can only depart form, and one arrival into the country of origin (Australia in your case) once. See this rule:

Yes, I would make that 4 sectors in SWP, and so long as you are still under the total 20 sectors then that should be ok.

Yes, I make that 21 segments, so you need to drop one. You could perhaps go AKL-ADL-PER-SYD at the end with the new AKL-ADL flight that was announced last week.

On another matter, I am trying to plan itinerary for my dad for NZ/SQ circle pacific trip,15k mileage limit, aud1759+taxes. Can you direct me to the right board for further infomation?

I suggest trying either NZ, SQ or Star Alliance forums for your Circle Pacific query. I assume it is the Evil Empire (aka Star Alliance) equivalent of the OneWorld Circle Pacific fare, although the OW version starts at 22,000 mile limit (also available as 26K and 29K mile versions for slightly higher cost).

^ correct that is 21 flight segments. MAX 20 permitted. why dont you stop it at ADL and just do a domestic webdeal or something seperately? LAX JFK MAD is fine, shouldnt be an issue.
