Flight change on RTW - involuntary change?

We are on a RTW and we have SIN-DOH-MAN in May.

QR have just changed the SIN-DOH flight. We were originally on QR947 departing at 7.40pm. They have changed the flight number to QR943 departing at 7.40pm. Would this count as an involuntary change (we would like to rerouted via Helsinki given the situation in Doha).

Your query would be better posted in one of the multiple existing oneworld Explorer threads, rather than starting a new thread.

No. You want to be rerouted via Helsinki, that would be voluntary change. RTW rules need to be applied.

Thanks. If the flight is cancelled in the future would I then be able to re-route through Helsinki as an involuntary change?

Normally spoken yes, but if it is ticketed on QR, be careful.
Had this experience already last week, they said NO.
RTW are treated different, no OAL and same RBD needs to be booked, and only OW members.
In a way it makes sense, cause it is a fixed fare for the whole trip.

Do not know how AA / BA or others will handle if a flight gets cancelled in normal circumstances.
