Which Avios program to book flights from?

My understanding is that BA isn't always the best to book award flights. I read that AY and QR have good redemptions too. However, is there an easy way to compare any routes between the three programs? Is BA the cheapest for routes like HKG-TPE, HKG-PEK, HKG-SIN, and SIN-KUL?

I don't know about AY but I was comparing BA v QR the other day and they were the same.

Unless booking last minute, SIN-KUL is terrible use of Avios. Advance fares in economy on MH can easily be found for circa 20.

I, too, am trying to find an easy way, but have failed. If you're talking about CX mainly though, AY is uncompetitive on those so I'll just spend your effort on comparing BA with QR.

For ex-SIN routes I believe Milelion has done a breakdown before - QR is the cheapest to redeem for SIN-HKG.

That's definitely incorrect ex-SIN - taxes alone ex-SIN is already more than 20.

You're absolutely right. My brain wasn't fully engaged. I was thinking about a KUL-LGK booking I made recently.

Apologies.

Nope. SIN-KUL, cash-wise, is definitely more than 20 on MH no matter how early I book.

HKG-PEK/TPE in CX would cost 11,000 AY Avios in Economy, and 18,000 AY Avios in Business. Not sure about carrier surcharges and other fees.
