RTW Ticket Cancellation and Refund

Hi Flyertalk experts,

I have a OneWorld RTW tickets starting from CAI. The ticket is for me and my friend. We have flown all the segments except the last one, from LAX to DOH. However, my friend cannot make this trip while I am still able to. I am wondering if I cancel the LAX-DOH segment for my friend, will a refund be issued? Thank you!

OW *ONE* and *GLOB* have a fixed base fare plus taxes and carrier surcharges (if any). Base fare is the same no matter how many segments
At most will back LAX-DOH taxes and surcharges, less any service charge. (US$125?)
However as your friend is not completeing the RTW, to the end OW could theoretically recalculate on point to point basis. Not that I have read of that happening.
Suspect will be many people no showing the last segment of the bargin ex CAI fares.

Yes, the fare requires that you complete the journey. While, like you, I have never heard of them doing this, the fare rules provide that if one fails to complete the journey, the fare will be recalculated on a point-to-point basis for the flights taken.
