A class: Expertflyer vs AA RTW

I booked an AONE3 ex-TYO last July for a trip that starts in 3 weeks. The 1st flight is JL 4 HND-JFK in the evening. Now that the morning flight, JL 6, is the new A359 plane on a daily schedule, I'm trying to see if I can change to that flight. EF shows some A class availability during the time period I want with US as POS. AA RTW desk says it does not see any A class on either flight. The AA agent today contacted the OW liason who also said no A class availability.

Now for the spanner in the works. I booked the itinerary on the OW website and got a PNR since the agent at the time said that if I got the A class seats via OW (AA could not get A class), AA would ticket it. That worked mostly. The JL website has some issues with the itinerary, but the JL agent said I have to deal with AA. As far as I can tell, that means no on-line checkin at JL. No big deal, but any time there is a schedule change, which AA and AS are known to do too much, it is back to AA. Other than the 1st flight on JL, there are no other JL flights.

Any suggestions on trying to change to JL 6? I did not expect JL 6 to go daily A359 so soon, otherwise all else is OK with the trip.
