around the world tickets cheaper in Egypt?

I heard from a guy that it can saves you a lot of money if you buy your around the world ticket (one world) in Egypt. I am living in Holland and want to know if this is true, otherwise I will book my ticket in Egypt.

Thanks
Guido

Follow the Road - Welcome to the forum. OneWorld around the world tickets were cheaper ex-CAI, at least in November. I know of 3 FTers, including 2 GLBTs, that flew there to buy RTW tickets after the London Do in November. I believe the cost was something like $3,700 for Business Class and $5,600 for First Class.

There is a discussion of RTW tickets ex-CAI in the OneWorld forum, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum83/HTML/002135.html . Please follow it there.

Since that is a better home for this discussion, I'm going to move this thread there (Note: Sorry about the double posting in oneworld - I moved the thread after locking it and realized that I can't reopen it after moving so had to move again). Looking forward to your future postings.
