Current cost of AONE3
Using today's exchange rates in US$, Cairo still holds the lead for the cheapest AONE3, even after allowing for the 40% increase last weekend. My other favourites, GIB & HKG, are also still worth considering. The current state of the $ v. the Ł gives the UK the wooden spoon by a large margin.
Egypt EGŁ 35,400 = $5,710
Thailand THB 231,840 = $5,937
Singapore SG$ 10,330 = $6,047
Turkey US$ 6,299 = $6,299
India INR 291,760 = $6,421
Gibraltar GIŁ 4,160 = $6,636
Hong Kong HK$ 52,340 = $6,740
Japan JPY 760,000 = $7,086
Canada CA$ 10,900 = $8,359
US US$ 8,400 = $8,400
Euro EUR 6,800 = $8,406
UK UKŁ 6,319 = $11,290

The spreadsheet has been updated to reflect the new Egyptian prices and also today's US$ currency rates. The self extracting archive is here and the plain ZIP'd archive is here.
Edited to add -
You don't need both files. If you have an unZIPper, then get the ZIP'd file, otherwise get the self extracting file. Mac users should get the ZIP'd file and use a compatible unZIPper (e.g. Stuffit), although I doubt that the automated currency download functions will work on the Mac.

I was able to download the spreadsheet, but could not get it to sort...
So I guess I have to read every one to find the secret place.
ExMo - you do good work. It's nice to have all the info in one place.
Thanks.

You need to unprotect the sheet in order to do the sort manually. Read the instruction page on how to do this.

ExMo,
I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
My goal is to complete a RTW this year. It looks like I'm getting closer.
I'll give your spreadsheet another go. As my dad used to tell me when I mentioned I had car trouble -- Is it the loose nut behind the wheel?
Thanks again.

If some of you do find that secret place, please do not post it here. We really don't want another mad rush for tickets! And inevitably raising that place's fares in a couple of months.
Can we all just be civil?

Is there a difference in pricing depending on which carrier you chose to ticket a OWE? and if so, why?
Thanks</font>

You don't say where the $5,050 journey begins. Is it Sri Lanka? If so, it's not much use for OW to the UK. You have to backtrack to BKK and/or HKG - not much use unless it's a mileage run.
