Maximum Number of Status Miles

Hello - Im new to RTW trips - but, the idea intrigues me to do a massive mileage run to keep my AA PLT or even try for EXPLT in 2004. I was going to do solo trips from LAX-LHR-NRT-SYD, etc -- but, then I thought about RTW trips to save money.

What is the max status miles anyone has gotten out of these types of trips?

See the following two threads for helpful information.

Basically, it depends on how many continents you want to visit and what class you will fly. Now that AA will be giving a 1.5x bonus for business and first, there is no mileage advantage to flying first. With some creativity you should be able to make EXP with a DONE4. Remember you are limited to 20 total segments, up to 4 each in every continent except NA where you can have 6.
