In planning my next RTW OWE I would like to stopover in LAX twice before leaving the continent...is this possible??? Or only one stopover city per continent?? THANKS

That's OK - you can stopover in the same city as many times as you like on a OWE subject only to the limits of:

a)2 stopovers in total in the continent of origin, and

b) what you can work within the segment and other routing limits.

I regularly stopover multiple times in HKG on OWEs bought in Europe.

what christep said...

I am currently on a OWE4 and am based on LAX (although I buy it from Aus due to lower cost). I arrive here, an do sidetrips within my sector limit in NA, always coming back here....so no probs.

There's a rule that says if you start your journey from LAX, once you return to LAX your trip is over, even if you haven't used your NA segments or hit the 20-segment limit. I can't imagine that it would apply if you pass through LAX a couple of times *before* your first intercontinental leg. Also you realize that you only can have 2 stopovers in the continent of origin.

I see that you can stop in the same city more than once, but can you fly the same segment more than once? For example, can you do LAX-DFW-LAX-DFW-LAX-DFW-LAX for your 6 segments?

Most definitely - it's on my itinerary and I did the same last year. You couldn't do it on the xGLOB34 ticket due to rules on that ticket. But on xONEx it is fine.

one other caveat. only 1 transcon in NA between certain cities (can't do LAX-JFK 6 times) and only 1 round trip to ANC.

One more caveat -

You cannot go back to your city of origin for the OWE trip. So if you started in LAX, you cannot return there until the end of the trip.
