OWE ex-CAI

I tried to put together a 4 continent itn. Not sure about the transcon rules in AUS / USA, could some of you experts please comment is this valid? I know there're many same kind of posts but wasn't able to find clear info with a few searches.

I suppose LHR-SYD and HKG-NYC are counted as 1 segment because it's the same flight number in both cases?

CAI-LHR-IST-LHR(-BKK)-SYD-AKL-MEL-PER-SIN-NRT-HKG-DEL-HKG(-YVR)-NYC-LAX-HNL-SFO-ORD-LAX-LHR-CAI

Cheers

Hi!

1. You cannot backtrack between HI (HNL) and mainland N.America, so it is invalid.

2. MEL-PER, for some reason, does not count as Aussie's transcon. but you are fine anyway.

Thanks for clearing the HI issue. How about going from HKG to HNL via LAX, is LAX transit allowed or does that already count as an entry to a new continent?

no, cconnetion via LAX is still a backtrack. I don't have personal experience but other FTers here said HNL-Aussie is the only option you can visit HNL with OWE.

Do a search and you can dig this out.

Yes, the only way to get to HNL is via Australia. Also, there is no Oneworld flight for SIN-NRT, you would need to go via SIN-HKG-NRT which takes up one segment too many.

Thanks for the tips. I modified the ITN a little bit and changed the direction also, this should now, to my understanding, apply to all OWE rules and also use every segment allowed.

CAI-LHR-LAX-SJU-DFW-YVR-DFW-CUN-JFK(-YVR)-HKG-BOM-HKG-NRT-HKG-AKL-MEL-PER-AYQ-SYD(-BKK)-LHR-CAI

Any comments & suggestions still most welcome!
