SFO-BOS >2700 miles?

SFO-BOS >2700 miles?

Does anyone definitely know how many miles you earn on Qantas's FF program when flying SFO-BOS? According to Expedia, it's 2698, according to AA it's 2700, the Great Circle mapper says 2704.. Is it above the magic 2700 mile marker for earning higher Status Credits? This is for part of my AONE RTW. Looking at doing BOS-SFO in A as my transcon.

As the flight would be a AA flight number with points & SC to QFF I think you will get what ever mileage AA tells QF that it is

There are differences in mileage awarded for the same route depending on which program the miles are credited to. I'm pretty sure there is a difference (only a few miles) between what AA & QF consider the distance between BOS & SFO.

One issue you may run into with the SFO-BOS route is lack of A class availability. This seems to be one of those routes where AA hold out for full fare F bookings throughout the F cabin.

AA has always credited me with 2704 AAdvantage miles for BOS-SFO.

You would think this to be the case... but I recently flew TPA-ORD on AA and had the miles posted to my QF account. AA.com said it was 1012 miles, but posted to QF as 1015.. I have seen other discrepancies too. ORD-LHR on aa.com is 3953 but posts to Qantas as 3941.. I'm not seeing any problems with A-class availability on Galileo.
