Bogota and Kuwait hotel suggestions
Yes, i know this isn't a completely appropriate forum, but I have tried others to no avail and there are some pretty helpful people in here.
The title says it all.
1) Bogota hotel suggestions. $40-$50.
2) Kuwait City. Around $100 a night.
Thanks for any suggestions, guidance, or resources.

If you are happy with cheap and cheerful, you can't beat La Casona Del Patio Amarillo in Bogota. www.lacasonadelpatio.com
About $US25 will get you a double bed, a private shower and a TV with local stations. Its in a very safe part of town pretty close to good restaurants and shopping centres but a bit of a hike from La Candelaria and the Gold Museum (an area you probably wouldn't want to stay in anyway)I walk the streets at 2am in this part of Bogota without any concerns (although the locals think I am crazy).
As for Kuwait City, I think the safest place to stay would be La Casona Del Patio Amarillo in Bogota

It is. My vast fortune (also known as the jar of change on my dresser) will go to my family. My endless knowledge about useless things will go to you, Carol. Just because I care. And my collection of tacky Hawaiian shirts will go to rich. Except a certain one, which you will have to pry out of my cold, dead hands. Then again...

Darren, check out this Business Traveller article on Kuwait City. I've found this UK based magazine a reliable source for travel information.

Thanks, but I am not going to go. By the way, I live and spend most of my day in a place that is a hell of a lot more dangerous than many places in the world, including Kuwait. We celebrated our 27th murder on the year about a month ago, so no doubt it's going to end somewhere around 30 by June 1 and 34 or 35 by July 1, well outpacing Gary, IN and Compton, CA for the murder capital of the country. Given that there are about 85,000 people here, that's a murder rate of about 82 per 100k per year. Carlsbad was 1.3 in 2000. The average income is about $4500, and yes I can verify it because I did a lot of their taxes, compared to Carlsbad that is closer to 60k. I know you are kidding around, but seriously, I have quite a few other things to worry about as far as safety is concerned.

Thanks for the suggestion, quebec. The guesthouse was fine and the people very nice there.
By request by the few other travelers I met:
Colombia is a dangerous and drug infested place. My first night I was killed. My second night, I was robbed. My third, I was killed again. You dont want to go there and must go to Orlando instead because a cute little mouse is much safer. Now, excuse me while I go make plans to return some day...
