Critique and tweak AONE3/4 please

Any suggestions to max. miles and optimize routes?

This would have to be AONE4 b/c of the intra-asia stop on the SYD-LHR flight right?

Also, as it stands now, I'm at 21 (CRAP) segments with the new limit of 20.

Thanks!

A few problems here...

It's a AONE5 (North America, South America, Europe, Asia, SW Pacific).

You have 7 segments in NA - you would have to pay for one.

You can't backtrack from Hawaii to continental USA - the only way to include Hawaii is to proceed from there to SYD.

You can't do CAI and DXB - only two sectors allowed to the Middle East.

Um, there are probably some others, but that will do for a start.

Not to mention that you have nonexistant flights.

Just because you want a certain route to exist, doesn't mean it does.

You also have many of your longhauls in business. Save the money if you want to fly business.

Well, here is something close to what you wanted in terms of cities that keeps within the 20 segment limit and the 2 flights from LHR to the Middle East. I threw in a few places in Oz and Asia that are interesting and give you some more mileage. If you are going to pay for a five continent trip, you might as well visit some of the cities in each one. If you are not wedded to going to South America you could drop back to a four continent fare and pick up some more cities in Oz and Asia and maybe some more miles. Five continents are just not mileage efficient anymore give the 20 segment limit.

Note that I have not checked this itinerary extensively. I think it will work for all the flight segments but there may need to be a little tweaking done.

About 54,000 miles.

Opps . OK can't count....I was thinking AONE4/5

OK ... How can I work anc hnl(lih) and SJU in same trip ... I'm OK with the extra US segment.

2) Does the cai-hel-yvr portion count as an intercontinental? or just hel-yvr?

3) And how about AONE4 as
jfk-HKG(instead of SYD)-lhr

Unless you know something that I don't, there is no cai-hel flight, nor a hel-yvr.

You can't just make up flights. There is a distinct difference between cai-hel-yvr and cai-lhr-hel-lhr-yvr, cai-mad-hel-lhr-yvr, or cai-bcn-hel-lhr-yvr.

If you say what your objective of this trip is and what stops you have to make are, then people will be a lot more helpful. As it stands, you have a routing that is very invalid on a number of levels, and you are flying a good portion of it in business class.

I suggest you download an electronic One world time table from aa.com and then decide on existing flights.
You must define your objective. Are you just maximizing your Q points are need to visit these places?

This post One World Distances has a list of some direct flights that exist (or did exist at that time it was done). These are flights with a single flight number. They may go via several airports. Some even require a change of aircraft, like MIA-NRT on AA, but they are a single flight number, which is the important thing.

Flights between destinations are being reduced every day, with current world problems, so you need to check with the airline web sites.
