Current One World Exploere Circle Trip fare is an unlimited miles AND unlimted segments without surcharge.
So, there is no concept such as 'puchasing additional segments'.
Under the current terms and condion of *ONEWC3 and *ONEWC4, I can plan an itinerary with over 50,000 miles and 50 segments.

just spoke with my TA in New Zealand.. she hasn't heard anything about the change yet, and called up the Qantas office there. They haven't heard anything yet either, and my TA is going to call BA to find out if they have any more info...
Could it be just a region specific thing? Maybe only limiting the number of segments on tickets issued from certain countries?

Still trying to get hold of the revised star files, but in the meantime, the Global Explorer fare conditions have just been changed with immediate effect so that the the charge for a change of routing is now USD100 (instead of USD75).

IT IS ON BA WEBSITE!! so I think it is ture.
(but AA RTW desk do not have anything info about this)

For those scrambling to get one more OWE ticketed ex-CAI before the changes (as a few of us are), BA US RTW desk will book the itinerary and give you a record locator but you must go through the BA CAI office and have them submit it to their rate desk if you want it priced in Egyptian Pounds -- or at least that is today's story.

I am visiting Australia right now. Should I buy a OWE before April 15th, to get a lower cost and more possible segments?
My concern is that I won't have my actual itinerary worked out by April 15th. I suppose I'd have to book a fake placeholder itinerary, and pay a change fee later once I work out one I will actually use. But you can't change the first segment, right? I guess I could book the ticket through Qantas or AA in Sydney, which would be a better idea? Thanks for any suggestions.
