Originally posted by ExMo: What is the basis for this information? It certainly is not in the rules. Last year when I took this flight on a AONE5, I was able to book in business both ways. BTW, at that time the flight also had a single row of first but LA was not releasing that for others to book. http://www.hardlink.com/~markdu/OWFiles/ http://www.hardlink.com/~markdu/OWFi...kingCodes.html In this page, BOOKING CODES section describes clearly about LA/LP/AY/EI domestic flight booking classes. Furthermore, I got same information from www.british-airways.co.jp (Unfortunately in Japanese), Airtariff book published in JAPAN. |
OK. I changed my route to:
CAI-MAD-SCL-PPT-SCL-UIO//LIM-SCL-SYD-PER-SYD-HKG-DPS-HKG-CMB//HKG--NRT-LHR-DXB-LHR-MOW//MAD-CAI for AONE4. Another question: I'm going LIM-SCL-SYD on 12/07/03, SYD-PER 17/07/03, PER-SYD-HKG 22/07/03, HKG-DPS 24/07/03 and DPS-HKG-CMB 27/07/03. Are its date possible for this fare. |
This still doesn't work. PPT is in SWP not S America. As stated above you can only go to PPT if you then use a separate ticket (on Air Tahiti Nui I guess) to get to Aus or NZ.
Moreover, you can't do SYD-PER-SYD. Only one "transcon" is allowed in Australia, but you do have free segments, so you could do SYD-PER-DRW-SYD. Why not also go to AKL then get more time on CX on AKL-HKG? CAI-MAD-SCL-UIO//LIM-SCL-PPT//SYD-PER-DRW-SYD-AKL-HKG-DPS-HKG-CMB//HKG--NRT-LHR-DXB-LHR-MOW//MAD-CAI I don't understand your question on dates... if the flight schedule fits then you would need to check with a Travel Agent or the airlines for availability in A class on those dates. |
christep: Thanks for your advise about Australia/NZ - Hong Kong.
About PPT - I know that it is SWP, but why I can't have flight SCL-PPT-SCL (LA 833/834)? About dates - Is it apply minimum stay rule (10 days for all classes)? |

One trip to IPC in a lifetime is enough. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |

Not that bad. Remember it is for DOMESTIC flights. Since Easter Island is a domestic flight one is out of luck. Domestic flights in Ireland, Finland, Peru, and Chile (where these restrictions would apply) are not that long anyway. It is possible that most of theses domestic flights are one class only, something like American Eagle. In that case one can only book into that 1 class. I was concerned that a LA flight from LAX to LIM would be restricted to Y class only. Easter Island was not on my list of places to visit with a OWE anyway.
