6-segments 2 stops for any origin continent?

Pardon the FAQ - is the six segment two stop rule for ANY continent of origin (e.g. SWP/NZ) or is that one of those special NA rules?

The two stopover rule applies to any continent of origin. The six segments is only NA, everywhere else is only four segments.

therefore, in other continents, you can have as many stop as your # of segments.

i.e. 4 segments/stops except in NA, where you have 6 segment/stops.

Actually, you can have one more stop than the number of segments, as you can stop at your intercontinental arrival city, e.g. in SWP: intercontinental arrival in AKL then AKL-BNE-DRW-PER-SYD then intercontinental departure (5 cities/stops and 4 segments). Of course, as noted previously, the continent of origin is limited to two stops of >24 hours.

I'm doing an OWE ex-Europe, and they had no problem letting me have 6 segments within my continent of origin?

The rule for OWE (not Global Explorer) (see another recent thread here) is four segments included in the price in each continent, and six in North America. A further two segments can be bought in each continent except the continent of origin.

So if you have a OWE originating in Europe and have 6 segments then you got lucky!
