Problems with recognising OW status?

Have any of you had problems with having your OW card recognised by another OW carrier?
I know that BA has no OW Ruby equivalent and that some of their gate agents may not recognise other OW carriers Ruby cards allowing to check at Business Class counters, regardless of the class being flown.
Personally I've had no problems with AA with my QF silver/OW ruby. I once had to explain at an EI counter in Dublin, but they were great about it, and even went to great lengths to fix a ticketing problem.

No problem with anyone recognizing AA Emerald. Never got much for it after the check-in line, though.
