USA OWE Flights

USA OWE Flights

Can some one tell me if the following is possible as the 6 NA segments:-

LAX-ORD
ORD-HNL
HNL-LAX
LAX-JFK
JFK-DFW
DFW-YVR

No. You may not backtrack from Hawaii to continental USA. If you go to Hawaii then either the entry or exit must be to or from another continent (which means Australia in the absence of a OneWorld flight to Asia from Honolulu).

I thought being one of the US states it would was in NA. Is it Asia or Aus for OWE tickets ?

It's North America, but there is a specific rule (as you would see if you actually read them at
http://www.fewmiles.net/oneworld/owe.html)

143N . - BACKTRACK BETWEEN HAWAII AND THE
144N . CONTINENTAL U.S/CANADA NOT PERMITTED.

this has been well discussed in this board.
the conclusion is. we cannot visit HNL with a OWE tkt, except in one case.
i.e.
taking NA_continent-HNL-SYD on QF

Sorry for the delay - if I'm going from Aus-NA via HNL do both flights count as Intercontinental or is the HNL-LAX flight counted as a NA segment ?
