Changes to RTW itin
I wasn't sure if I am reading the rules correctly so I thought it best to ask the experts.
Trip is as follows:
JFK-LAX-SYD-ADL-MEL-SYD-SIN-HKG-ICN-HKG-NRT-LHR-CDG-LHR-JFK
I am thinking of cancelling the Paris leg. I am about 3 weeks from departure so if I do that am I charged a fee?
Also, was thinking of adding LHR-MIA-BDL (end trip BDL).
Can I do that?
Thanks,

yes, it is free of charge as long as it is 7 days before departure.
(you mean ending at BDL instead of JFK, right? if u have not used up the 6 segments in N.A>, you can even add BDL-JFK in case you need it in the future
i.e. JFK-LAX-SYD-ADL-MEL-SYD-SIN-HKG-ICN-HKG-NRT-LHR-LHR-MIA-BDL---(MIA)-JFK.

Thinking of changing it further to:
JFK-LAX-SYD-ADL-MEL-SYD-SIN-HKG-ICN-HKG-NRT-LHR-DXB-LHR-MIA-BDL
Even though I have the tickets it's still free right?
And I could add BDL-ORD-MCO-ORD-MCO at the end right?
But I could not add BDL-ORD-LAX-ORD-BDL because I have already done a transcon right?
Thanks for all the help,
PS-Does LHR have luggage lockers?

I admit that my brain is frozen right now, but unless I am missing something, you only have one *non-stop* transcon in jfk-lax. You can have as many connecting transcons as you want, but you can only have one non-stop. So if you pay the adcollect, which in the second case would probably be about $150, you can do that routing.

Thanks for the help. I called the AA RTW desk and they were as usual extremely helpful.
I got all the routing changes and a non dated open end leg in NA all done. And as long as I can make it to BDL by Sat AM and get the tickets reissued there I will no be charge a penny!
Obviously for the open leg I will have to pay $75. However, i was very impressed taht teh conversation started with the assumption I woudl have to pay $75 but the agent actually checked and confirmed that I did not if I went to a ticket office.
Top marks for AA!
