Question about stopovers/segments in continent of origin for a OWE

Question about stopovers/segments in continent of origin for a OWE
I am considering a OWE ex-South Africa. But I still am confused a bit about the stopover rules for the continent where you start the OWE. A possible routing is CPT-JNB-Asia-NA-Europe-JNB-LUN-JNB-CPT. Since 1 segment is before I leave the continent and the other 3 segments are upon my return to Africa, is this valid? I want to visit my friends in Zambia during the dry season(Jun-Aug), but want to start the OWE before then. Thanks for all your help.
