Segments a definition?

OK - as a small part of a OneWorld RTW I am looking at:

...SYD -> HKG -> BKK -> DPS (via HKG) -> LHR (via HKG)....

I *think* this counts as 2 segments (it says you are allowed 4 and surely the segment in/out of the continent are not counted in the 4?). But does BKK -> DPS count as 2 segments because I have to go on 2 flights to get there (without a stopover!)?

Will there be a problem because I have one stopover and two pass throughs of HKG? I plan to fly most of these including the HKG to LHR on Cathay.

Sorry for asking so many questions! In comparison the Star ticket last year was much easier to understand.

Connecting through HKG more than once is not a problem. Each time you change flight number you begin a new segment, so it looks like you have four Asian segments, HKG-BKK-HKG-DPS-HKG.
