Hong Kong Oneworld Vendor??
I need to take a flight from Hong Kong to Miami and later from Miami to Bangkok in First.
It occurs to me that this may be cheaper and more flexible as an OW RTW.
Can anyone suggest someone in HK to sell me the ticket? Ideally someone with net access so I can work on the itnierary with them.
BKK would be cheaper but I am not originating from there.
I am currently in the middle of a Star First RTW, its OK but I prefer the classier OW airlines.

Anything oneworld out of HKG right now would be pretty dicey due to the CX situation. Looks like BA HKG-TPE and onward on AA would be the best.
You might still want to back track to BKK as it could easily save you several thousand. Check out this travel agent in BKK my family uses a lot: Surapong [email protected]

I would also look at how much cheaper it would be to originate out of BKK on a OW RTW in F. It might be worth getting a cheap RT ticket HKG-BKK on another airline to start your trip and avoiding CX all together during these rocky times.
BKK-LHR on BA/QF
LHR-MIA on BA/AA
The return trip from MIA to BKK could give you a number of possibilities depending on the time you had and how many miles you would want to earn.
Most direct (3 continents)
MIA-SJC-TPE AA TPE-BKK BA
or
MIA-DFW/ORD/SEA/SJC-NRT NRT-BKK BA?/JL (AA codeshare if you can do this on OW RTW?)
or
MIA-DFW-KIX AA
KIX-BKK (? - don't know if any OW airlines will work for this on a direct flight)

you still need CX for NRT/KIX-BKK
i suppose you can rely on CX for such short trips. since they have many flights per day.
as for price, i believe it is 30-40% lower. so it is a bit cheaper even if the hkg-bkk tkt in full-J added on.
check fewmiles's site for updated prices
