HKG-YYZ CX. No, It cannot get any better.
Continuing on from my previous thread....

Anyways, I (tradition for me) am one of the last people to board the flight. I am hoping that the flight will not be so full. Boy, am I wrong. I must have picked the most popular day of the week to travel. Oh well, I am in D so I shouln't complain. So I don't!!!
Move onto the plane, it's JAM PACKED. Oh well. Business is full to the brim. From the galley I can see my seat 16K (Window). I pray that the seat next to me is open. It's not. I resign myself to my fate and check out my partner for the next 17 hours. Doesn't look like a evil person. I can live with that. I proceed to try to start to find a place for my bag. It doesn't go well. I try not to be a jerk on airplanes and there are still a few people left behind me who would like to get past. That's ok, so I move back to the galley to let them through.
My 'partner' figures out that I'm heading for 16K. It's the only seat left in Biz. He get's up and comes and see's me as I am starting my second attempt at putting my bags up. He ask's:
him: "Are you sitting in 16K?"
me: "Uhhhh.. Yes....." (I KNOW his question! Can I switch seat's so he can sit with his friend? It's ALWAYS the same! I never win! I will be in a middle seat for the next 17 hours! Arrrggghhhhh!!!!!)
him: "Can you switch seat's with my friend?"
me: (Internal groaning) "Sure why not" (and why not, I'm traveling alone. Live to fight another day. You win some, you lose some.)
him: "THANKS! This is great! I'll go tell my friend"
me: OK, where's the seat? (I am still holding my bag, and we are in the galley now).
him: "2C"
me: "Huh?"
him: "2C"....... "First 2C"
me: "Huh?"
him: "Enjoy!"
me: "Huh? Huh? Huh?..... WHOA!!!"
And that's it. On that flight there are only 2 rows of F. 1&2. 12 people. Amazing service. Great food. Horrible seats. Incredible Pitch. 1973 era personal monitor. They really need to finish off the fleet/seats! Pitch aside and the seats are NOT AS GOOD AS UA Biz!!! (NRT-ICN). Hurry UP CX!
But the service..... WOW. I still can't believe my luck.
One in a million I say. CX does it again! First the WING, now this. How CAN they do better (besides fix the seats.....)?
Personal massage, stand up bar, lounge area?
They are the cream of the crop.
P.S. I still get lost in HKG!!!
Happy RDP
