i thk cx is responsible for recruiting partners in asia. they sd be interested in getting as many "premium" airlines as they could.....the main barrier for oneworld is they have high requirements for jopining (IT, 'smooth' transfer, etc) which is very costly for potential partners...that is what prevented KA from joining
Well, I am kind of happy that KA is not in oneworld. Asiana I would be happy with. Very new equipment, pleasant staff, reasonable inflight service/amenities. But the main issue for me is lack of a Japanese carrier (which really only could be JL at this point). I hope they reconsider their reluctance to join soon.
