Qualifying Miles - Are All OneWorld Partners the Same?

I note that BA awards 240 qualifying points for a first-clas trip Vancouver-London, 180 points for a OneWorld Cathay Pacific flight Hong Kong-Vancouver (50% greater distance) and only 150 points for Cathay Pacific Johannesburg-Hong Kong (one of the longest flights in the air today!).

This system is most inequitable as far as the treatment of other OneWorld partners (such as Cathay Pacific)is concerned, making it much easier to achieve and maintain BA gold status by flying only with BA and not its partners.

Do other OneWorld carriers have similar policies insofar as their treatment of other OneWorld partners is concerned?

Qantas certainly does..they are very stingy awarding tier points on routes they don't fly themselves. There was a long discussion about this some time back in the Qantas bulletin board.
