Continent bonus status check?
Does anyone know if it's possible to find out what continents one has received OW credit for (in my case with AA)? I think I have all six, but I'd like to see if they agree so we can settle things before the award miles come out and it becomes more difficult to complain after the fact. (I really want to make sure they counted my GB Air flight to Africa.)

That makes you the second BA member (the first was mijne, a continental Europe member, in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...L/000290.html) to have received credit for continents to date part-way through the promo. Apparently AA isn't doing that, though. Even if there's a question about Africa, I still had five by July 21, four by the previous weekend, so if they posted partials something should be up by now.

BA UK may only be doing this because of the change to BA Miles.
I think AA said from the outset that they'd be doing it at the end. QF have said the same but it too 4 months for QF to post last time!

Good job Chris! Did anybody get Iberia miles posted? Efrem--any luck with Africa? How are this rest of us doing? I have Asia-Africa ( I hope)-Europe-N. America and I will go to S. America. They just anounced
a San Juan-CCS new route. Is Belize considered S.A.? I better get those 'lost' Iberia posts before I plan CCs, but we only have 11 days left! Oh well maybe they will have another promotion for a higher mile value. This one wasn't real rewarding to me.
DiD anybody get their EURFF BONUS OR ANY OTHER PROMO CODE TO POST?
85K towards EP and looking forward to the new EP rules...I think......125k away from the million mark...home in the sky this year again! It is worth it...just alot of time consumed chasing down hotel, airline promos, and I love it!

MRKEY, I think I have Africa but it was on GB Air and I don't know if they counted it or not. If yours was on one an Iberia code-share operated by Royal Air Maroc, the rules say you may be out of luck.
ChrisMoss7, I've successfully e-mailed AA for credit for AA flights when I was involuntarily rerouted on another airline. If that was your situation I'd give it a try. (I was able to say, truthfully, that I had not received FF credit on the other airline and did not plan to request it. If that applies to you, I'd mention it in your message.)

Efrem,
When I found out I was being rebooked on another airline, the first thing I did was count to see if I had enough credits to do without them. Since I was OK, I went ahead and credited the DL flights to my DL account. That is who I fly with the most domestically so I didn't mind the base miles nor the first class bonus either. Thanks AA.

Efrem I just got off fo the phone with the EP desk and they are giving me flight credits for my missing African leg, my Iberia miles will post with their original flight #'s. The said as ong as it is a OW airline, it will qualify for the OWCON contest. My problem is I now have 4 continents, N. America, Europe,Africa, and Asia (Tel-Aviv). There is SJU-CCS flight this weekend, but it is $400. My gain of 35K miles and spending $400 dos'nt sit well with me. Anybody have any ideas on how to make up that S.American leg without costing me a fortune? Is it really worth all this work for a total of 50K miles? We only have 10 days to go

Depends ... how much are miles worth to you? At $400 plus a hotel room for about 37,500 miles (the bonus, RT trip miles doubled, and one mi/$ for buying the ticket, maybe plus another 1,000 for Net booking) you're paying a bit over a penny each. That's cheaper than you can get them most anywhere else. The other question is: what else would you be doing with your time, and how much is _that_ worth to you? And, of course, is there anything fun or useful you can do there once you get there, if you spend two nights instead of just one? In short, it's neither a no-brainer nor totally crazy. Let us know what you decide.

Efrem: time is ok for me..it's a weekend.....price is right, but with 400k to build on, can't justify the cost.....but it would be neat....what would you do?

What I did was driven by a bunch of factors that wouldn't apply to anyone else, including my GF being tied up with family stuff every weekend in July so I just wanted to get out of town. I paid a bit more than $400 for a round trip from London (where I was on business) to Casablanca and two nights in a moderate hotel. Had a wonderful day touring Rabat with a new friend I met on the train. In retrospect it was worth every penny, with the miles as a bonus. The same, except for the friend, was true of my day in Santiago. These were two fascinating places I'd never been to before and probably would never have seen but for this promo.
Perth, where I landed, walked around outside the airport, and boarded a return flight, and Singapore, where I spent two nights in a hotel but saw nothing (the day between was the RT to Perth) weren't as much fun but got me away for the long July 4th weekend.
Would I do the same now that she's back? Maybe not; this weekend with her was so nice ...
Does that help? It's a hobby, it's sort of fun, it's a conversation piece though some people will think you're crazy ... if there's nothing keeping you home and you can afford $400 without taking food out of the mouths of hungry children, go for it! If you can get out Friday night and return Sunday, and you've never seen Caracas before, that's another reason to do it.

What a way to rationalize! Did you stay at the Ibis as I recommended...I too loved Morroco.miles or no miles..it's in my blood (JET-A). YOU ONLY HAVE CERTAIN CHANCES ONCE and this may be the one..thanks for the think tank work....I have another question..I will be in TLV 9/2 THRU 9/10-11. where would you go from tlv for 3 days.....Cairo, romania or greece? It is fun! and I have a great deal of wonderlust in my brain....can't stop flying......thanks Efrem
