What Oneworld program is best for europeans
I hate to ask but maybe someone could at least point me in the right direktion -
I am living in germany and I am thinking of switching to oneworld. I fly about 25.000 miles a year all in discouted coach- which carrier would be best?
Here is my wish list:
If possible i would like to get elite with my 20.000 to 25.000 miles of coach
I would like to be able to fly to asia and US
No expiring miles!!!!
Some upgrades
elite bonus
Thanks for your opinion and help!!!!!!

The best bet may be to join British Airways Executive Club because they are entering a different scheme come October when Airmiles becomes BA Miles.
Flights in certain economy class will earn 100% mileage as opposed to none now and Premium Economy will earn 1.25%, Business will earn 200% and First Class will earn 300%.

be careful, fellow European cattle class people flying Oneword!
On November,1,1999 BA and OW did a very nice present to their Benelux FT by "harmonising" the qualifying fares...it ended up in scrapping the lower fares altogether.
telling example: BRU-LHR-HKG (with CX): before 1.11.1999, US$ 800 would qualify
since then, US$ 1,200 give you both points and miles
official reason: "premium passengers must be rewarded more"
Of course, regular cattle class passengers are worth nothing.
Even though I was on my way to reach BA Gold, I left OW for *alliance.
you're in Germany, so do join LH, all their fares qualify!

There is just one thing I hate more then disqualifying low fares for miles
- expiring miles after 3 years
(and arrogant LH) Well maybe skyteam or keep waitng for wings

Oliver: LH miles no longer expire for Senators and Frequent Fliers!
(the account informations still say so wrongly, but individual informations from LH correct this - and we posted this on the board here).
(sorry: this was Rudi posting, not taking notice that Gisela used this i-book before me).
