Routing for 1W 100K Bonus.

It is past 1st June and the 100K Bonus is running. Has anyone worked out a routing that conforms to all the requirements for this bonus? There have been a couple of postings saying that it can be even done on 1W four continent fare. I'm sure quite a few people want to go for this promotion, so it would be nice to see some thoughts on the routing...

I just read the BA 100K promotion and noticed some startling points.

1) Middle East (obviously including Israel) is in Asia and not Europe.

2) North America also includes Central America.

This is quite contrary to what AAdvantage promotes where Israel is in Europe and Central America in South America thus making it a bit hard to earn the bonus with the 4 continents fare.

Does anyone have any further info about this development or how to get around it?

Continents are defined as Europe (within Europe excluding UK
domestic), Africa, Asia (including Middle East), Australia and South West
Pacific, North America (including Central America and The Caribbean)
and South America.

Have checked all the Oneworld sites (except EI and LA)and definitions of continents seem to vary slightly, regarding the Middle East and Central America. Here is what they are posting.

AA - Continents are defined as Africa, Asia (including the Indian sub-continent), Australia (including New Zealand and the South Pacific), Europe, North America and South America (including Central America).
Continent count is based on location of each arrival city.

BA - Unable to find a definition of continents.

CX - Gives the following lists: AFRICA: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Cote D'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana(?), Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Reunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, St. Helena, Sudan, Swaziland, Syrian Arab Republic, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
ASIA: Afghanistan, Antigua and Barbuda(?), Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Palaupapua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Arab Republic of Yemen
AUSTRALIA: American Samoa, Antarctica(?), Australia, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna Islands.
EUROPE: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzogowina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourt, Macedonia (the former Yugoslav, Malta, Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tadjikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukranian SSR, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Yugoslavia.

SOUTH AMERICA: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), French Guiana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (British), Virgin Islands U.S.)

AY - Africa, Asia (including Middle East, Far East, Japan and India), Australia, Europe, North America (including Hawaii, Central America and the Caribbean) and South America.

IB - AFRICA : Including Nothern Africa
ASIA: Middle East, Far East (Except South Occidental Pacific)
OCEANIA : South Occidental Pacific
EUROPE : Europe, Spain
NORTH AMERICA : North America, Mexico
SOUTH AMERICA : Central America (Except Mexico), South America

QF - Europe and the Middle East; Africa, including Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia; Asia including the Indian subcontinent; Australia and the South Pacific including New Zealand and Papua New Guinea; North America including Canada, the US, the Caribbean and Mexico; and Central and South America

The bonuses that come with each program do vary, and as you can see, there are some disagreements as to whether the Middle East is part of Europe or Asia, as well, Central America being part of North or South America. Also, CX seems to have trouble distingusing where 2 countries are located (Guyana and Antigua & Barbuda).

Best to check with the program you are planning to post points with when travelling to these countries or regions of the world. I really wish that there was a simple, common description for each continent, but I guess my neither the common sense arrangement or the Oneworld definition can be said to apply, as neither fits all.
