CP and AA CodeShare Postings

I am currently booked on the following flights:

1. AA DCA - JFK (AA PLANE)
2. AA JFK - YUL (AA PLANE)

3. CP YYZ - YUL (CP PLANE)
4. CP ORD - DCA (AA PLANE)

On segment 4 which is a CP flight operated by AA, will I get a CP or an AA segment posted to by Advantage account?

How about if I post segment 4 to a CP account. Will that segment show as AA or CP.

Same question but using a BA US account?

thanks,
rich

The airline that shows up on your FF account is the one under which the flight is booked, not the "metal" of the aircraft flown. So you'd have to check the ticket, and if it is as you've set out on the itinerary list, those are the carriers that will logged on the FF account on which you choose to put each flight.

Shareholder,

thanks for the reply.

based on your answer and a private e-mail my guess is that CP and AA accounts will post the segment as the carrier shown on my ticket. This is what most would expect.

However, i am also worried about postings to BA. I guess I am still burned by QF Flight Numbers appearing as BA segments.

Has anyone had any actual experience flying an AA jet on a CP ticket with credit to your BA account?

thanks,
rich

I have a similar situation with an AA codeshare flight on IB. I am waiting to see if it shows up as an IB or AA flight number. It was booked and tickets with AA flight numbers, but the boarding pass gave it the IB numbers, etc. AA Agent who checked me in at the JFK Admiral's Lounge assured me it will post as an AA flight. A call to AA today reveals it was not posted as AA, but has come across as IB. This means I have 2 IB flights for the promotion, and no AA! Plus, missed the double miles bonus for AA flights between JFK and BCN.

Of course, I will send the requisite paperwork in to AA, but this should not happen on a codeshare.

Anyone else experience this problem on AA or other oneworld carriers.
