because of all the confusion regarding eligibilty for us residents on cp, which other 1w alliance member has the best offerings for the 100k promotion. i have started collecting segments on aa and ba. (apparently, i just wasted an ay segmenton cp!!!) my next trip is not until the 29th, so i should have a little time to join a new program.

so, who is it? ib, cx, or qf? (according to celestar340 ay requires membership before 10/1).

After I realized that your subject title was indeed a serious topic (mind you I'm still chuckling!) I would suggest you join either IB or CX. QF's points are equivalent to kilometres (i.e. you get 100,000 kilometres not miles) so you won't get as good a deal. Same with AY's program. IB's program on the other hand requires activity once a year or all miles will lapse (check out their website for details). And CX's awards are a bit steep. What's the issue with CP for US members? From CP's rules on the contest/bonus, while the contest for the 1M miles is open to Canadian residents only, the 100K bonus is available to all CPlus members. So I'd choose CP over IB or CX.

Where did you see the Cdn+ rules for the 100K promotion? I have yet to find them anywhere except the original message posted on the other strand by Ken Hamer. I have not received the letter in question from Cdn, even though I am Gold. I have found nothing on their web site.

When I called yesterday, I was told it only went to select members and is not open to everyone. I have emailed and asked for clarification.

Wow, you are ahead of me. I am still trying to get a second member. I too want to stretch this new member to get the best rewards and most enjoyment from the miles I travel with this second member.
