RTW Global or OneWorld Explorer Fare?
We are going from lax-syd-nan-cns-hkg-nrt-lhr-lax. Cant seem to get OneWorld explorer fare because of our desire to go to Fiji.. Any ideas on how to get the oneworld rather than the global explorer fares? Apparently, we cannot use qantas code share flights on Air Pacific.
Thanks

You can use FJ (Air Pacific) only on the Global explorer fare. Call Qantas in the US to double check.
The problem and confusion all this is causing is that different countries have different definations of the Global explorer and OneWorld RTW fares. On the Global Explorer, it is based on mileage. On the 1W , it is based on Continents. And certain countries can only market one product, and some both. And the Global Explorer fare have different classification in certain markets too. eg In UK and Australia, it is marketed only in economy class whereas in HongKong, you can buy it in Business and First class as well.
Your best bet is to consult a professional travel agent who would be able to offer you accurate advice on the fares.

If you want to go to Fiji from Sydney, you could book a flight on Air Pacific on a Qantas Boomerang pass, which requires a minimum of 2 coupons. It's the cheapest way to get to NAD from SYD.
Make sure the ticket is written as a Qantas flight, not Air Pacific. I believe you only earn AAdvantage miles from SYD-NAN if your flight is listed as Qantas.
