OW benefits with Iberia
Hi I recently had a good experience in Madrid with Iberia. I was flying MAD-MIA on a Ibera flight Y class that is codshare with an AA flight.
I am AA PLT (OW Sapphire). I checked in at the Gran Clase (First Class) check in counter. They invited me to visit their VIP Lounge.
On arriving at the lounge I presented my Platinum card (OW Sapphire) card. They ladies at the counter recognized me as a member and commented that I already had the Oneworld desgination on my card. I said that yes, they had mailed out new cards late last year/early this year.
So in general I felt recognized and received special treatment because of my OneWorld status.

I hope that Iberia still allows smoking on its international flights. Redrock - does it? I will be flying with them this September and want to know. I hate all the discriminatory "non-smoking only" bull ****.

As of last week Iberia allows smoking on transatlantic flights. It does not allow smoking on flights less than 90 minutes and flights inside of Spain.
